Dearest Friends of Heart For The World!

Our Missions outreach to Ukraine was incredible!  With 36 meetings of evangelism, family and marriage enrichment teachings, and concert ministries, we saw many families encouraged, and over 1,000 people made decisions for Christ!

Our team was great  -- made up of a collection of Americans, Swedes, and Ukrainians with humble servant hearts, including our sons, Tyler and Travis.  Our early morning prayer times each day were awesome! And God really showed up at every meeting, large and small, to touch many lives with hope and salvation!

A great highlight of the trip was in a town where an Orthodox priest welcomed us with open arms.  He said his church is one of the only Russian Orthodox churches in Ukraine that preach the Word and proclaim the Gospel message.  He joined us at the end of our evangelistic outreach in the Village Central Square to pray for people after many had received Christ in the meeting.

Inviting us afterwards to his church building, we listened as his choir sang and he poured out his heart, sharing his deep burden to see Christians work together in Ukraine!  His concern is that the Muslim population is drastically increasing and they are buying up land around the Black Sea.  Barbi felt a deep burden to lead the team in a prayer of blessing over this dear man who's heart cries out for his own people to preach the Word of God in Ukraine and unify with other believers to make an impact.

Nicky was a "hit" everywhere we went.  He did his famous "New Life Illustration" to explain the Gospel and then sang about God's love with the "guys," (Tyler & Travis were also loved by all). Folks really enjoyed "Out Of His Great Love" in Russian!  Nicky reached young and old, including the teenagers!  And everyone was touched when Tyler and Travis sang 4-part harmony with mom and dad in Russian!

Please pray that fruit harvested in lives will remain, as we came into many towns and villages that have been ravaged by drug and alcohol abuse.  Many young people, in particular, were drawn by God's love and our message of hope.

In one village, a whole group of drug abusing youth gave their hearts to the Lord.  During this meeting, one older woman (whose daughters were now adults) and who was enamored with Travis,  yelled out from the crowd,  threatening (teasing) to take "the red head" (Travis) home with her... she said it wasn't fair that we had 2 boys and she had none!  We pray for the local churches and Bible Study groups that will continue the follow up on all who were saved in these villages and towns.

One of the last nights, we spent a treasured "fun time" of celebration with the whole team.  A few of our team members had been students of ours at St. James Bible College in Kiev a few years back.  So we rejoiced together with old friends and new over what God had done during our outreaches.

The translator that came from Sweden with her husband and baby (the best behaved baby we've ever hung around), is originally from Russia.  She wept as she took our marriage book, "Reviving Your Romance", and Barbi's dad's book on Islam home with her, eager to translate them both into Russian.  This has been her prayer and dream for several years -- to translate Christian books!  What a blessing it will be to get both of these books translated and into the hands of families and ministers in the many Russian-speaking countries in Asia.

We are now preparing for a very intense and exciting upcoming season of ministry to families and marriages here in the United States.  Tyler and Travis are both headed off to college as we continue reaching marriages and families with a message of hope around the United States.  They will still occasionally join us, but we are encouraging them to focus on their studies as much as possible, and enjoy college life.  It was a privilege to have Tyler choose to rejoin us this summer after his freshman year.  We have even more special memories with him that we treasure!

We are now well into scheduling 2007 Concert Ministries and Marriage Seminars.  If your church is interested in having us, please contact us by replying to this email or calling our office phone # below.  We'd love to include you in our ministry calendar.

Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and prayers.  It means so much to us.  Blessings to you and your family!
