"No Phantom, No Menace"

Are you as sick as I am of all the hype surrounding the recent "StarWars, Phantom Menace" movie? Just for fun, the next time you walk into Wal-Mart count the number of times you see the principal figures of the movie on various items of clothing, jewelry, posters, etc., etc. I think if I see that Jar-Jar character one more time, I'm going to lose my lunch.

It's unbelievable. It's everywhere! And one troubling new trend I ‘ve begun to hear in churches; likening of the StarWars good versus evil theme to the biblical view of God versus satan. In fact, a recent survey I heard taken of young people showed that many have bought into this good fights evil, ying-yang, hinduistic garbage. (Is Terry going on a rant this month?)

But in God's economy the war is very lopsided. Satan and all his demonic forces are no match for the power of God. In fact, the word of God says in the Book of Revelation that at the end time, one angel will be called upon to tie up satan and cast him into the pit for 1000 years (Rev.20:1-3) I mean, one lowly little angel! It would be like one of the mechanics in the Jedi Knight hangar bay, the guy that works under the wings of the X-wings, being called upon to single-handedly, destroy the evil emperor and the whole entire empire! How come? Because our God is the God of all Gods. It's no contest.
