SUMMER NEWSLETTER 1998

More Great News!
These are incredible times ... and God is moving swiftly! We are seeing
fresh winds of revival blowing into churches through our concerts and
meetings all across the country ... and now even other parts of
the world.
We are now in our 13th year of “Inspiring Love in the Home & Revival
in the Church.” 1998 started out with a bang. Numerous churches across
America are asking us to come and minister to their families and pray with
them toward revival. Many concerts are ending with a prayer time that has
occasionally gone past midnight with salvation commitments, testimonies,
confessions, etc ... what some might call a mini-revival. We give praise
and glory to God for this! |
|
Also, recently, we have been invited to seven additional foreign countries.
And, now that we are able to do our concerts in the Spanish language and have
our Spanish CD completed, we are getting more invitations from Spanish-speaking
countries and churches.
Over 500 Saved!
In our latest trip to Peru (November 1997), more than 4,000 people came out
to stadium rallies in the jungle city of Pucallpa, Peru. El Nino (which originates
off the coast of Peru) caused an enormous amount of rain which turned the dirt
roads into impossible mud slides ... but God stopped the rain each afternoon
just in time for the meetings and many people still trudged through the mud,
determined to get there. In just the Pucallpa crusades alone we saw over 500
people get saved!
We also had the tremendous, last minute, surprise privilege of ministering
at Yarina Cocha, the Wycliffe Bible Translator’s base. The Lord timed it just
perfectly!
Since our visit came during their yearly national conference, we gave our concert
for all the Wycliffe missionaries and staff of Peru. What an honor! We were
able to meet many people who have given their whole lives to translating the
Bible into other languages. We thank God for each of YOU who gave of
your prayers and gifts to make this outreach possible!

Left: Limo service in Pucallpa, Peru! We slipped and
slid (through the mud) all the way to the concert.
Right: Your gifts helped to provide a portable PA system as an
evangelism outreach tool for one of the churches in Lima, Peru. Recently
this church, Camino de Vida, had their main sound system stolen. Thankfully
they had this portable system available so they could continue their services
effectively in spite of this setback. Thank you for your generosity! Please
keep these believers in your prayers as they face much warfare! |

More Marriage Retreats!
We are having more and more requests to sing for marriage retreats and
conferences. Sometimes we just do the music and a concert, but lately we’ve
been doing the speaking as well. We love ministering in this way!
These are special times that give us opportunities to focus on other couples
who feel as we do ... that apart from our relationship with Jesus Christ,
our most important relationships are our marriage and family. We have been
seeing hundreds of couples reconciled to each other in these meetings. See the
Online
Store on the web site for purchasing information for their family
resources and books. |

Year of Jubilee!
When we recorded our most recent tape and CD, “Songs of Worship
and Revival,” we had no idea that 1998 is the actual Year of
Jubilee in Israel. This is the opening song on our latest tape. As you
probably know, the Year of Jubilee was a time when debts were forgiven,
slaves were freed, and a time of great celebration.
In the same way, we are believing that 1998 is a spiritual Year of Jubilee
for individuals and families, and that there will be more marriages set
free, and those that have been in bondage to various sins will be delivered.
Please pray that God will continue to use this ministry. Apart from His
anointing we can do nothing eternally valuable. |

More Staff Members!
We are thrilled to announce the addition of Mark and Nancy Estee to
our staff. Nancy and Barbi have been friends since they were teenagers.
Mark recently retired (at 39 years of age?!) from the Coast Guard. If
you have recently called our office, Nancy is the pleasant voice on the
other end of the line. She is handling much of the office duties while
Mark is taking care of our product and shipping, along with being able
to diagnose and fix almost anything! Please pray for this wonderful couple.
They are a real blessing to this ministry. |

“The inevitable and constant preliminary to revival
has always been a thirst for God, a thirst,
a living thirst for a knowledge
of the living God, and a longing and a burning desire to see
Him acting,
manifesting Himself and His power, rising, and scattering His enemies.
The thirst
for God and the longing for the exhibition of His glory are
the essential preliminaries
to revival. ” -- D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Revival

Prayer Warrior Alert!
For some time now, we have been recruiting a serious group of prayer
warriors to get behind this ministry. If you feel led to become a
committed intercessor for Terry & Barbi, please write
or call our office and we will send you monthly prayer updates! We have
seen a marked difference since we began our intercessory prayer emphasis.
The Lord has been speaking in miraculous ways, and we know many battles
are won thanks to YOUR prayers! Please pray with us as we have
invitations to 7 more foreign mission fields. We need to know God’s direction
and timing regarding all of these opportunities! |

| After singing for Wycliffe Bible Translators, our dear
friends, the Wroughtons, took us for an unforgettable ride on a local
Peki Peki boat. |
What a joy it is to have Barbi’s best friend from high
school and her husband working for us! Barbi feels like this is a dream
come true. Mark & Nancy have servant’s hearts and many skills that have
greatly enhanced this ministry. |
Tyler & Travis were so excited to return to Peru to enjoy
all the many facets of the Peruvian Culture. They even learned a song
in Spanish like Mom & Dad this time! |
